EEO Specialist

Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group has partnered with a public transit agency and together we are recruiting for a Temporary EEO Specialist. This role supports the agency’s federally mandated responsibilities related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), including discrimination complaint investigations, employee counseling, and training delivery. The selected specialist will work with confidential information on a regular basis and play a critical role in expanding the agency’s capacity to respond to EEO matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigations into complaints of discrimination filed by employees and applicants.
  • Prepare comprehensive investigative reports, recommendations for corrective actions, and additional supporting documentation as needed.
  • Deliver EEO and related training sessions to employees across the agency.
  • Provide guidance, counseling, and support to employees regarding EEO concerns.
  • Perform research and analytical work, prepare internal/external survey responses, and create presentations.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of EEO databases and official files.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and other internal departments on EEO-related matters.
  • Exercise independent judgment while managing sensitive and confidential information.
  • Support the EEO program with administrative and analytical tasks as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly organize and present ideas and deliver presentations to senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple high-priority tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and explain data and statistics accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, and PeopleSoft HCM.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, and handle highly confidential information.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization, collaborate across departments, and help build consensus.

This job is In-Person.

Pay Range: Hourly $48.00 to $50.00
