SME H1BVisa Human Resources Generalist

Job Description: Sparks Group has partnered with a well-known industrial equipment supplier on an SME H1BVisa Human Resources Generalist opportunity to drive organizational growth and international talent strategy by spearheading the H1-B lottery process and full-cycle recruitment for a dynamic workforce. 

Main Responsibilities:


  • Assist with H1-B documentation for 11–12 employees for the upcoming lottery.
  • Re-evaluate compensation packages and translate job titles into specific SOC codes with upgraded tiers to accurately reflect experience and improve lottery selection likelihood.
  • Create attractive job postings across various disciplines, post to multiple sites, and utilize resume databases to source candidates.
  • Determine applicant qualifications through pre-screening and perform both virtual and in-person interviews.
  • Support the recruiting function by creating offer letters and maintaining status updates on active roles.
  • Facilitate background checks and the I-9 process for new hires.
  • Conduct formal onboarding and offboarding procedures for employees.
  • Maintain hard and digital copies of all employee records.
  • Answer employee and management questions regarding HR topics, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Manager of Human Resources.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state labor regulations.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the scope and nature of the position as assigned.

Must Haves:


  • BA in Human Resources Preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written forms.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow processes while maintaining organized status updates.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills; able to make independent decisions based on experience, judgment, and established policies.
  • Working knowledge of personnel policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Prior Human Resources administration experience (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail with experience handling confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Flexible in an environment of multiple tasks and shifting priorities; able to work under time constraints and follow through on assignments.
  • Regular and predictable attendance; available by phone and email as needed.
  • Knowledge and use of culturally responsive practices.
  • Ability to build trust, maintain relationships, and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent service to stakeholders.
  • A self-starter capable of working independently while remaining comfortable in a team environment.

Software: Experience using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to manipulate data and develop charts/reports. Skill in using word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications

Pay Range: Hourly $33.00 to $40.00
