We are seeking an Onsite Printer & Device Support Specialist to serve as the sole onsite resource at a large manufacturing facility in Jackson, MO. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role supporting a high-volume print and device environment during a critical transition period. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with basic IT and networking knowledge who is comfortable working independently, managing time effectively, and coordinating with a primarily remote support team. This position involves significant walking, device moves, and hands-on troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onsite contact for all printer and device support needs

  • Provide ongoing end-user training on printer and MFD equipment

  • Act as point of contact for equipment delivery and removal

  • Maintain strong communication with remote support teams and site contacts

  • Conduct basic equipment diagnosis and troubleshooting

  • Clean devices and replace operator-accessible parts and consumables

  • Download and install printer drivers on end-user PCs

  • Perform printer mapping and laptop-to-printer setup

  • Configure devices (IP addresses, scan-to-file/email, user access levels, templates)

  • Provide IP address support and escalate network issues when required

  • Manage both Xerox and non-Xerox devices as needed

  • Proactively manage supplies and consumables 

  • Perform data entry for asset and activity tracking

  • Validate device locations, serial numbers, and asset data using floor maps

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (education verification required)

  • 1–2 years of experience supporting printers, MFDs, or related equipment preferred

  • Basic networking knowledge (IPs, ports, connectivity)

  • General PC and IT knowledge

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision

  • Comfortable working independently in a busy environment
