Guidelines Manager

Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has partnered with a leading national professional medical association to identify a Guidelines Manager who will serve as the primary project manager for the development, update, and dissemination of clinical practice guidelines. This role coordinates physician experts, researchers, and internal stakeholders to ensure guideline projects are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with senior medical leaders while managing multiple guideline initiatives simultaneously.

Responsibilities:
  • Independently manage multiple, complex clinical practice guideline (CPG), clinical consensus statement (CCS), and update literature review (ULR) projects in accordance with established SOPs, timelines, and budgets
  • Serve as the central project manager for physician-led panels, coordinating the work of panel chairs, panel members, consultants, contract methodologists, and medical librarians
  • Monitor production schedules, project milestones, resource needs, and budgets to ensure projects remain on track
  • Manage ULR and amendment panels to assess the currency of existing guidelines and coordinate updates or revisions as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to guideline development processes
  • Support topic prioritization efforts and coordinate reviews of potential topic endorsements, as assigned
  • Assist with the development of topic nominations to federal and external organizations for systematic literature reviews and evidence report development
  • Record panel meetings and prepare meeting minutes; contribute to publications, press releases, and other departmental communications as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Promote collaboration with internal departments, including publications, education, foundation, meetings, and industry relations, to support dissemination of guideline products
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of conflict-of-interest (COI) policies and programs
  • Provide support to internal practice guidelines committees as needed

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a health- or science-related field required
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in healthcare and/or research with physician committees, principal investigators, or other post-doctoral professionals
  • Proven project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Knowledge of evidence-based medicine and understanding of systematic review processes preferred

This job is Hybrid Remote.

Pay Range: Hourly $38.00 to $42.00
