Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities:
  • Answer inbound calls, emails, and other communication channels from customers regarding shipment status, tracking, delivery issues, pricing, and general inquiries.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on freight movements, customs requirements, and logistics processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and professionally, escalating complex problems to the appropriate department when necessary.
  • Process and input customer orders, service requests, and data into the company's systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., operations, dispatch, sales) to ensure seamless service delivery and problem resolution.
  • Educate customers on available services, service limitations, and best practices for shipping and logistics.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned 

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry is a significant plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Strong active listening skills and ability to empathize with customers.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen
