We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused part-time Member Service Representative / Teller to join a credit union in Scranton, PA. In this role, you will assist members with a variety of financial transactions, provide outstanding customer service, and support daily credit union operations. This position requires excellent communication and math skills, along with a strong ability to handle cash and maintain confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide exceptional member service in-person, by phone, and via email.

Assist members with opening, managing, and closing accounts.

Guide members through the loan application and documentation process.

Maintain knowledge of all products, services, policies, and procedures.

Ensure proper documentation for all new accounts and loans.

Perform teller duties including cash handling, deposits, withdrawals, and balancing cash drawers.

Support daily back-office operations as needed.

Assist in maintaining branch security protocols.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Strong math and cash-handling skills

Experience balancing cash drawers
-
Prior experience in banking or credit union preferred

Must be bondable by a credit union bonding agency

Excellent communication skills

Ability to remain professional under pressure

Strong organizational and file management skills (electronic and paper)

Experience using online banking platforms and mobile apps

Ability to understand and comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies

Tech-savvy with the ability to operate office equipment and computer systems

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

Adaptable to management direction and changes in programs or services

Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a computer
