Job Summary/Company:  We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Benefits & Compliance Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws and benefits regulations, maintaining accurate records, and managing critical financial and operational aspects of our benefits programs, with a focus on retirement plans. Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay current on HR industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in benefits administration.

  • Serve as a liaison between HR and accounting teams for all benefits-related financial matters, including invoicing and account setup.

  • Oversee administration of 401(k) plans, including employee deferrals, employer match processing, and loan tracking.

  • Maintain accurate benefit data in the HRIS (UKG system) and manage tracking of premium payments from retirees.

  • Prepare and update benefit plan binders and establish audit-ready procedures and documentation.

  • Support internal and external audits, including retirement plan (401k) audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to requests.

  • Uphold the highest level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive employee and company information.

  • Perform additional HR-related tasks as needed in support of evolving business needs.



  • Qualifications/Background Profile:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in HR benefits administration, with a strong focus on compliance and retirement plans.

    • Prior experience working with Fidelity 401(k) plans is required.

    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).

    • Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) or similar HRIS systems strongly preferred.

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

    • High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.

    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
