Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team in supporting actuarial valuations related to retiree medical plans. This part-time role offers flexibility in scheduling (20 hours per week) and will primarily involve data management, report preparation, and updating documentation. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proficiency with Excel and Word, and an ability to work efficiently within established processes to produce accurate actuarial valuation and disclosure reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Preparation:

Compile and organize data files in Excel, ensuring accurate and complete participant information for use in retiree medical valuations.

Perform data validation and reconciliation to identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies.
Health Care Premium Analysis:

Download and process healthcare premium data, ensuring accuracy and alignment with actuarial assumptions.
Report and Template Updates:

Assist with the preparation of actuarial valuation reports and disclosure documents.

Update and maintain Word templates for various actuarial reports and communications.
Invoice Preparation:

Support the preparation of client invoices by gathering necessary data and ensuring that all charges are accurate and well-documented.
Qualifications:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, formulas, and data management techniques.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, with the ability to update and format templates.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a flexible, part-time work environment.
