Accounting Clerk

Sparks Group has partnered with a mission-driven, internationally recognized nonprofit organization in DC seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join the team. In this role, you will manage financial transactions, process invoices, reconcile accounts, and assist with month-end procedures. Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter invoices, payments, and financial data into accounting software.
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals.
• Generate and send accounts receivable invoices.
• Reconcile accounts payable/receivable ledgers and maintain organized records.
• Assist with month-end closing and respond to vendor/customer inquiries.
• Support other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance with a focus on accounts payable/receivable.
• Proven experience managing collections and large transactional sets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word); experience with Bill.com and QuickBooks Online preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of government/nonprofit accounting is a plus.

This job is Hybrid Remote.

Pay Range: Salary $45,000.00 to $45,000.00
