Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for the professional-level administration of key HR functions, including but not limited to:
- Position Classification: Developing and maintaining job descriptions, evaluating positions, and ensuring appropriate classification levels.
- Benefits Administration: Managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits. This may involve vendor management and open enrollment processes.
- Recruitment: Overseeing the full recruitment lifecycle, from developing job postings to conducting interviews and onboarding new hires.
- Compensation: Administering compensation programs, ensuring pay equity, and conducting salary surveys.
- Employee Relations: Providing guidance and support to employees and managers on employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and<source-footnote ng-
- Policy Interpretation and Implementation: Interpreting and applying personnel laws, regulations, and policies, and ensuring consistent application across the organization.
- Personnel Actions Oversight: Reviewing and approving all personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with Paychex or similar database required.
- Proven experience in a Human Resources generalist role, with demonstrated expertise in the areas listed above.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain complex HR policies and procedures.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Pay Range: Hourly $40.00 to $42.00
