Electrical Engineer Lab Coordinator

Job Summary/Company:  A private higher education institution has partnered with Sparks Group in search of a Electrical Engineer Lab Coordinator for one of their scientific curriculums.  This professional will serve as a liaison between faculty, staff, and students, ensuring efficient administration and effective delivery of the program's curriculum in a  laboratory setting. Responsibilities:

• Manage Labs: Oversee equipment, ensure safe operation according to ABET standards, train personnel, and maintain inventory.
• Coordinate Curriculum: Collaborate with instructors to implement the laboratory curriculum and ensure alignment with lectures.
• Support Faculty & Students: Assist faculty and students with projects, laboratory activities, and address student inquiries.
• Ensure Lab Safety: Implement and enforce safety rules, maintain lab records, and support research and teaching activities.
• Departmental Collaboration: Work effectively with department chairs, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• 1+ years of experience working in a laboratory setting relevant to Electrical and Computer Engineering disciplines (e.g., electric circuits, electronics, control systems, digital systems, etc.).
• Ability to build basic and complex electrical systems
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email) and basic computer networking concepts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
