Bilingual Senior Accountant

Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group in collaboration with our client, a health organization, is searching for a professional and Bilingual Senior Accountant. The accountant will be responsible for providing support to all accounting functions. They will also assist with developing and implementing accounting policies. Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries for billing, general ledger, oversight of transactions and audit responses
• Report financial performance to support monthly close, budgeting and forecasting efforts
• Conduct and provide periodic financial variance analysis and ad hoc financial reporting
• Prepare financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow; reconcile bank statements and accounts
• Perform checks to ensure data integrity and to spot/correct inconsistencies in accounting work
• Recognize potential risks and errors, make recommendations to improve reporting environment and produce valuable results
• Support multiple projects, identify opportunities, and carry out ad hoc tasks

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of comprehensive accounting, auditing, payroll, and tax experience required
• Ability to work onsite in DC at minimum 2 days a week
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate skills using Microsoft Excel
• Detail and Process Oriented with the ability to multi-task and work on several projects together
• Eagerness to learn and take on any tasks assigned
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex reports, needs and documentations
• Solid communication skills with the ability to communicate with teams or present recommendations to increase the efficiency of the processes
